DJ PRINCE

DJ Prince is a South African Salsa DJ with more than 10 years experience DJing at South Africa and Africa’s biggest events.

His passion for Salsa and love for all thing Latin drove him to the dance and ultimately to become a Salsa DJ with a passion to share the music with the people of Africa.  This has led to him being featured on South African radio and television for his events and community outreach programs in South Africa.

He has been involved with many major Salsa parties and events in South Africa over the last 10 years, including headlining Salsation South Africa which runs regular events in Cape Town including:

• The Grand Daddy Salsa parties – A regular Friday night event for 4 years in Cape Town

• Salsation Sundowner deck parties – A dockside open air event at South Africa’s number 1 tourist destination, the V&A Waterfront

• Salsation Pool parties – The only Salsa pool party in Cape Town

Over and above this, he helped put together one of the biggest salsa events in Africa to date alongside Cape Town band Maquina Loca where the music and dance was displayed to over 6000 people on Cape Town’s Clifton beach in a charity fundraiser.

He was involved with the Cape Town Salsa Festival from 2013 to 2016 and has featured in the Africa Salsa Congress in Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) as well as the SalSafari Festival in Kenya, Salsa & Kizomba Congress Angola and the Johannesburg Afro-Latin Festival. In 2016, he broke into the US Salsa scene at the World Latin Dance Cup in Miami and is also the first South African DJ to feature at the prestigious Los Angeles Salsa Festival.

Angus has most recently launched the Mother City Dance Festival in Cape Town, September 2019 featuring Edwin Rivera and an array of local and international artists.
